The Confindustria Albania Assembly “Energy and Italian investment in Albania” was held yesterday in Tirana, attended by the President of Confindustria Est Europa, Maria Luisa Meroni, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to Albania, H.E. Fabrizio Bucci, of the Minister of Economy and Finance, Delina Ibrahimi, of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Ilir Bejtja, and of major Italian companies that have invested in the country.
The Assembly was an occasion to highlight the close cultural and economic bond between Italy and Albania. Our participation, together with Confindustria, was testimony to the attention we pay to Albania, a key country in Central and Eastern Europe that has placed energy at the centre of government policy in order to diversify resources and achieve greater sustainability in production, encouraging investment in the sector.
President Meroni underlined the essential role of the network of Representative Offices of Confindustria Est Europa in supporting entrepreneurs on their path of growth in the Balkan area and, in particular, in Albania, thanks to the expertise and drive of Confindustria Albania and of its President, Sergio Fontana.
