On 26 October the “Meeting of Minds” advanced training course for the Presidents and Executive Boards belonging to Confindustria Est Europa was held in Confindustria's Sala Pininfarina, delivered in collaboration with Sistemi Formativi Confindustria (SFC).
It was an important occasion for study and sharing for the Boards of the International Representative Offices of Confindustria Est Europa, thanks to the contributions of Confindustria's leadership and of the guests present.
The programme included, in the first part of the day, addresses by: Maria Luisa Meroni, President of Confindustria Est Europa, who coordinated and opened proceedings by examining the importance of training within the Federation's mission; Alberto Marenghi, Vice-President for Organisation, Development and Marketing at Confindustria and President of Confindustria Servizi , who underlined the responsibility of the International Representative Offices in strengthening Confindustria's identity and values in order to meet global challenges; Francesca Mariotti, Director General of Confindustria, who stressed the identity of the International Representative Offices as integral parts of the System and the need to build on securing industry as the beating heart of our country; Francesco Servello, Head of the Associative System and Confindustria Governing Bodies Secretariat Area, with a focus on the lines of change in the associative system; Barbara Beltrame, Vice-President for Internationalisation at Confindustria, and Raffaele Langella, Director of the International Affairs Area, with a close analysis of Confindustria's priorities and strategies in the international context. Finally, Matteo Borsani, Director of European Affairs at Confindustria, presented the mission of the Confindustria delegation in Brussels, which represents, promotes and defends the interests of the Italian industrial system before the European institutions.
In the second part of the day the floor went to Luigi Serra, President of SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustria, with an in-depth look at SFC's support for professional development as a contribution to the growth of managerial culture and to process innovation within the Confindustria System. To close, the stimulating lecture by Professor Francesco Saraceno, Deputy Director of OFCE Sciences-Po and member of the scientific committee of the Luiss School of European Political Economy, with a presentation of the Italian and European economic picture in the light of international geopolitical events, which drew the active participation of those present.
