On 18 May the General Assembly of Confindustria Bulgaria met to elect its new President. Maria Luisa Meroni, current President of Confindustria Est Europa, is succeeded by Roberto Santorelli, CEO & Owner of Kuminiano Fruit, elected together with his team with 93% of the votes, thus becoming the youngest President in the association's history.
With some 300 member companies, Confindustria Bulgaria accounts for business activity worth in total 2 billion euro of direct investment, a turnover of over 1.75 billion BGN and more than 10,000 jobs, making it a strategic node within the Confindustria Est Europa network.
The new team that will lead Confindustria Bulgaria over the 2021-2025 period is as follows:
- Santorelli Roberto, President
- Coraggio Nunziante, Vice-President with responsibility for Internationalisation
- Dilkov Plamen, Vice-President with responsibility for the Energy Sector
- Martinelli Giovanni, Vice-President with responsibility for Infrastructure and Transport
- Netzova Maria, Vice-President with responsibility for Legality and Start-ups
- Parusso Maurizio, Vice-President with responsibility for Corporate Social Responsibility
