The second edition of the Italy–Serbia Business Forum was held in Trieste on Friday 24 May. Proceedings were opened by Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, and by Miloš Vučević, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, who underlined the deep bond of friendship between our peoples.
The focus of the business forum was on strengthening bilateral cooperation between our two countries, in particular in strategic development sectors such as the circular economy, technological innovation and infrastructure, with sustainability at the centre.
Speakers included Maria Luisa Meroni, President of Confindustria Est Europa, and Barbara Cimmino, Vice-President of Confindustria with responsibility for exports and investment attraction, who underlined that Italy is one of the country's leading investors; finally, the President of Confindustria Serbia, Patrizio Dei Tos, spoke at the sectoral round table entitled “Circular economy: for sustainable industry and agriculture”.
