Event organised by Confindustria Ungheria within Automotive Hungary
Great success for the conference “Italian Polymers and Compounds for the Automotive Industry of the Future”, held on 14 May 2025 at the Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre, on the occasion of the Automotive Hungary trade fair.
The event, promoted by Confindustria Ungheria and moderated by Dr Silvia Merighi (MSP Group), highlighted Italian excellence in high-performance polymers and thermoplastic compounds for the automotive sector, with the support of Confindustria Est Europa and under the patronage of Confindustria Cisambiente.
After institutional greetings from President Roberto Massucco (Confindustria Ungheria), President Patrizio Dei Tos (Confindustria Est Europa) and Director Stefano Sassone (Confindustria Cisambiente), a technical discussion opened among leading Italian companies in plastics processing:
- LATI SpA presented its high-performance technical compounds for automotive components, underlining the role of flame-retardant materials and recycled-based solutions.
- AQUAFIL SpA illustrated the potential of ECONYL®, nylon 6 regenerated from industrial and post-consumer waste, ideal for the car industry.
- Cossa Polimeri Srl put forward innovative compounds in PP, PC-ASA and ABS, including versions with recycled content and antistatic and flame-retardant properties.
Contributions then followed from sponsors BESSER Group (plastic moulding with sites in Italy, Hungary, Romania and Poland) and UniCredit, with Dr Alessandro Paoli (Head of UniCredit International Center Italy), underlining the importance of financial support and of an integrated production chain.
