Rome, 6 November 2025 – Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Italy
The official presentation of the Business Forum “Energy & Infrastructure Italy – Eastern & Central Europe”, to be held in Belgrade on 2–3 February 2026, took place yesterday at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Italy.
The initiative, co-organised by Confindustria Est Europa and Confindustria Serbia, was made possible with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Italy and in collaboration with OICE and GreenHillAdvisory.
The event was an occasion for strategic discussion of the main energy and infrastructure issues affecting Italy and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, in the light of the profound changes under way in the region's energy systems and infrastructure corridors.
Institutional addresses
The opening was entrusted to H.E. Mirjana Jeremić, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Italy.

The meeting was moderated by the Director of Confindustria Est Europa, Irena Brajovic, who led the discussion on the industrial prospects of the energy transition and of infrastructure development in the CEE region.
A moment of dialogue and shared planning
The presentation set out the preparatory contents of the Belgrade Business Forum 2026, with particular reference to:
- the energy transition and security of supply;
- the development of new energy and logistics infrastructure;
- the role of Italian companies in energy, engineering, construction, digitalisation and advanced services;
- multilateral investment opportunities and public-private partnerships.
The meeting highlighted the growing importance of the CEE region as a strategic area for Italy, not only in geopolitical terms but also from an industrial, technological and financial standpoint.

The Business Forum “Energy & Infrastructure Italy – Eastern & Central Europe” will take place on 2–3 February 2026 in Belgrade.
The initiative will bring together companies, institutions and stakeholders from the energy and infrastructure sectors, with the aim of fostering new collaborations and strengthening the Italian presence in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
