On 23 April the eighth appointment of the Confindustria Est Europa Roadshow programme, held across Italy, took place at Federazione ANIE under the title “Doing business in Eastern Europe – Confindustria Est Europa and ANIE present the opportunities for collaboration and growth in Central and Eastern Europe”.
An important occasion to explore business opportunities in the markets of Eastern Europe for a sector of high potential: trade trends along the Eastern European route show electrical engineering and electronics as the leading sector of exchange for the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans, with growth prospects of 5%.
The initiative was also an opportunity to bring together the International Representative Offices of CEE and ANIE member companies, examining the support that the International Representative Offices are able to offer Italian companies and demonstrating the importance of sharing skills and knowledge among Italian entrepreneurs in support of colleagues looking with interest to this strategic neighbourhood.
The President of Confindustria Est Europa, Maria Luisa Meroni, opened proceedings by presenting the business opportunities in the countries belonging to the Federation and the role of the International Representative Offices of Confindustria Est Europa. Contributions followed from Giulio Iucci, Vice-President for Internationalisation at ANIE, Ludovica Zigon, Coordinator of the Internationalisation Committee, and Alessandro Paoli, Head of UniCredit International Center Italy.
The country focus sessions were led by: Gianluca ZANELLATO, Director of the Confindustria Romania “Leonardo Da Vinci” Centre of Excellence; Nunzio CORAGGIO, Vice-President of Confindustria Bulgaria; Gerta BILALI, Director of Confindustria Albania; Irena BRAJOVIC, Director of Confindustria Serbia; Nicola PETTENO', President of Confindustria Polonia; Enrico RAINONE, Director of Confindustria North Macedonia.
