On 2 October 2025, Umbria hosted the international workshop “Umbria and Central and Eastern Europe. Innovation, territory and new supply chains”, organised by Confindustria Est Europa, Confindustria Umbria and Umbria Export Scarl.
For two days the Umbrian region welcomed companies, institutions and the foreign Confindustria associations of Poland, Serbia, Romania, Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, creating an important moment of exchange between the Italian production system and the industrial ecosystem of the CEE countries.
Focus on innovation and cooperation between territories
The initiative offered a concrete space for dialogue on innovation, the development of new supply chains and internationalisation opportunities, with the aim of strengthening ties between Umbrian SMEs and the markets of Central and Eastern Europe.

The programme closed with an address by the Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Valentino Valentini, who underlined the importance of strengthening the Italian presence in emerging markets and in European value chains.
The workshop confirmed the value of the link between Umbria and Central and Eastern Europe, opening new prospects for joint growth between territories, companies and associative systems.
