The XXXII Karpacz Economic Forum was held in Poland on 6 September, the largest conference in Central and Eastern Europe with over 4,000 participants from 60 countries across Europe, Asia and America. On that occasion, together with Confindustria Polonia, Confindustria Est Europa organised a panel discussion on promoting business opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on the growing partnership between Italy and Poland, whose trade today exceeds 32 billion euro.
With contributions from Laura Ranalli, Deputy Head of Mission at the Italian Embassy in Warsaw; the President of CEE, Maria Luisa Meroni; Nicola Petteno', member of Confindustria Polonia and CEO of CEBI Poland; Alessandro Saglio, Director General of Confindustria Polonia; Salvatore Toma, Vice-President of Confindustria Puglia and President of Confindustria Taranto; Aleksandra Leoncewicz, Head of the Milan office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency; and the Hon. Emanuele Lo Perfido, President of the inter-parliamentary friendship group between Italy and Poland, the initiative was an opportunity to present the audience with examples, reflections and projects to strengthen cooperation and integration between Italy, Poland and the CEE countries, with the shared aim of “building bridges”, working as a system and strengthening relations to create business opportunities for Italian companies in this strategic neighbourhood.
